1. General Terms of Use

• 1.1. Application Purpose: Yomeru! is specifically intended for users who wish to learn Japanese independently, focusing on reading skills and vocabulary acquisition.
• 1.2. Lawful Use: The application must only be used for personal learning and non-commercial purposes. Usage for illegal activities, violating the law, or abusing the system is strictly prohibited.
• 1.3. User Responsibility: You are fully responsible for all activities conducted under your account and any content you may generate or upload (if contribution features are introduced in the future).

2. Data Storage and Management

• 2.1. Data Collection: We collect data necessary to support application functions and personalize your learning experience. Data collected includes, but is not limited to: name, email, User ID (for Firebase Authentication), and specific application activity data such as:
  • Reading Progress
  • Favorite Lists
  • Learned Vocabulary
  • Search History
  • Experience Points (EXP) and Rank Data
  • Other technical and functional data required for the application to operate correctly
• 2.2. Data Security: We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of user data. Data is protected with SSL (Secure Sockets Layers) encryption protocol during transmission.
• 2.3. Data Infrastructure: The application utilizes NeonDB for data storage and Firebase Authentication for user login management.
• 2.4. Third Parties: User data may be shared with trusted third-party service providers for the following purposes:

• 3.1. AI-Generated Content: Parts of the content within the application, including Sentence Explanations, Story Summaries, and Learning Quizzes, are automatically generated by an artificial intelligence system.
• 3.2. Content Guarantee Limitation: We strive to ensure that AI-generated content (including quiz questions and answers) is accurate and relevant. However, we do not provide any guarantee of the absolute truth, accuracy, or completeness of such content. Users are advised to always verify information, especially for academic or professional purposes.

4. Monetization and In-App Advertising

• 4.1. Revenue Model: Yomeru! uses advertising as the primary revenue model to keep the service free. By using the application, you agree to the following ad placements:
• 4.2. Interstitial Ads (Pop-up): Full-screen ads may appear with a probability of 25% when the user:
  • Opens the Story Detail Screen.
  • Presses the Mark as Completed button on the Story Detail Screen.
• 4.3. Banner/Native Ads: Banner ads will be inserted in ALL list views (Home, Browse, Library, List Screen) after every 10 items of stories or vocabulary.
• 4.4. User Experience: We endeavor to ensure ads are displayed in a way that does not significantly disrupt the learning process.

5. Payment and Subscription

• 5.1. Premium Subscription: Yomeru! offers a Premium subscription service for 4.99 USD per month (or equivalent in your local currency, prices may vary by country due to taxes, exchange rates, or our custom pricing decisions).
